Bill Graham's New Campaign Manager

Republican Bill Graham sure is an outsider. Even his staff operates outside of the law.

Campaign manager Marty Ryall resigned in 2003 as executive director of the Arkansas GOP amid federal investigations into the party’s finances. Four of the five other staffers were fired in the aftermath.

Ryall resurfaced this year working for another outsider, indicted Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher.

Ryall joins Michael Aaron Lay, Graham’s campaign spokesman, who was indicted earlier this year of voter fraud in connection with Patrick McHenry.

Lay, a field director for McHenry, was indicted in May on felony voter fraud charges. In 2004, Lay voted twice in elections while living in a district in which he was not a permanent resident.

With friends like these, no wonder why Graham isn’t in the “in crowd."

Good stuff, Jerimee

Graham is used to buying whatever he wants, so now it looks like he's shopping for basement bargains. No big surprise. he and Liddy and McHorny can trade crappy help all day long. People are catching on to their sleaze.

We need a chart for this sleazy crowd

just like Anglico's puppet master's chart. There are a bunch of ties between all these people and many of them have shady pasts. I'll have to dig for a post I'd read that tied a bunch of them together and listed their scum creds. Link to come.

Great job, Jerimee. Keep it up. Once you start digging on these people, you never seem to get to the bottom of the barrel. (Or they keep filling it with new atrocities!)

I've started collecting photos.

OMG! Billy Graham has hired the GOP Mob?

Whose Next? The Ghost of "Big Al" Capone or Art Pope's Small "Exxon" Hood bodyguards?

Just for once

I'd like to see a politician not just talk the talk on ethics, but actually walk the walk. How can you campaign for higher ethical standards if you surround yourself with people who are demonstrated as ethically challenged?

OK, I just did a Google search on Marty Ryall, and he apparently was exonerated of any wrongdoing in the Arkansas GOP scandal (his finance director apparently embezzled some money). So it's probably not fair to include him among the ethically challenged. But the other dude is an idiot and sleazeball.

Casino Ryall

Some other fun facts on Marty Ryall:

Google Marty Ryall and William Graham and you'll find a retired Judge William Graham he once criticized.

You may also find, with a little digging, that he was once Elizabeth Dole's Deputy Political Director for her Presidential campaign

He was also involved in the Florida recount. Also involved in the Florida recount was the late Ralph Gonzalez, killed in an apparent murder-suicide, who was a political consultant and Executive Director of the Georgia Republican Party at the same time Ryall was Executive Director of the Arkansas Republican Party.

He call the Judge What?

"He name-calls the distinguished former jurist, William Graham, a “witch hunt judge.” Mr. Ryall knows this is not true. "

I can't wait until Billy boy calls Sponge Bob a " bitch hunt judge"

Graham crackers

I can't wait till the press finally figures out that Bill Graham is a trial lawyer who lives in a $6 million house and is doing nothing about poverty.

There's another irony in that another William Graham works for Art Pope at Bob Orr's former gig.

There was a brief period

when I thought the two Bill Graham's were the same person. That really gave me the creeps.

Also involved in the Florida recount

Add Alabama to Georgia and Arkansas

Here's what was going on with Rovian types in Alabama around the same time.

A duly-elected Democratic governor is in jail because of their manipulations and eventually these people are going to go down for it.

Even so, this network of sleaze-bags are trying to take over the south.

TrueMeckDem on Myers Park Pat

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
