A good supporter video for Barack Obama

I have to say that while I am still ambivalent about the Presidential election, actually apathetic might be the better word, Barack Obama is starting to show a little fight. My biggest worry about Obama is that he's not tough enough to take on the special interests, the whole idea that you can work with the Republicans currently in Washington is just nonsense. They support freakin' torture folks, they believe that the terrorists hate us for our freedom, so the best way to win is for George W. Bush to take away that freedom. Anyway, this is a good supporter video, for me.

Yes, I still have my doubts.
I was one of the first people to find out about all those old "present" votes of his in the Illinois legislature. It still bothers me that he wouldn't stand up for those basic principles for political reasons. Hopefully the beating he is taking on Faux News will show him that he can't really work with neocons or Bush conservatives.

Robert, this is hard. Laura, my wife, and I have been talking
this evening about early voting. We have our whole lineup of candidates filled out, with the exception of President.
I have no other words for this but the following. Our remaining Democratic Candidates for President are completely missing the point of being a Liberal / Progressive and they are missing it by miles.
I know there are so many that feel that Senator Obama is going to bring about the "change." Both of us are intuitive enough and not star struck enough to know that he will not likely do anything to bring about any kind of real change in the way Government works, as per his very words he will be doing what he can to reach out to the rot and decay Party that has been causing the rot and decay of America.
We all hope. Hope is not just a word, it is feeling that many are so invested in at this time that IF the HOPE of CHANGE does not occur, they will split into two camps.
Camp 1 will follow Mr. Obama to the end, and he can do no wrong.
Camp 2 will realise that Mr. Obama is not bringing about change and their hope will decline, as well as their backing.
Then there is the part that I've not addressed.
Mr. Obama gets into office and rocks the world by bringing the country and the Congress together and many of our problems are laid to rest by way of true legislation. Sweet!
I know so many feel that Senator Clinton will bring about hope and change by hearing the people of this country and having the political capitol already in place by way of President Bill Clinton and his previous administration, whom are still very involved in politics in America. They feel she will not only hear them, but do something about their plight.
This allows many to go into the process with a sentiment that is a warm and fuzzy "we know what we are getting" which makes them feel better because they just are not the gambling types. Perhaps it is best known as "the devil you know" or something like that.
We are leaning right now. It is not a holding the nose lean, but more of a disappointed lean towards not the lesser of two evils, but the necessity of a Democratic President in 2008.
I hope this makes sense to you.

Maybe it's because I've read Dreams from my Father. Maybe it's because I've lived in the ghettos of Chicago. Whatever the reason, I have no doubts whatsoever that Obama is the chance of a lifetime.
