An abject lesson in Islamophobia

Muslim clerics booted off flight to Charlotte:

Two Muslim religious leaders on their way to a Charlotte conference on "Islamophobia" said they were removed from a commercial flight Friday because the pilot refused to fly with them on board.

This story is dripping with irony. And the sad thing is, this pilot (and the passengers he claims complained about the clerics) would probably deny they had been swayed by Islamophobia.

the bigoted idiots are out in force in the comments section, which was turned off as a result. Here are a few choice excerpts:

I don't want to fly with them unless they are put in a bombproof box, barefoot and naked except for fruit of the looms and that after a good cavity search.

Wouldn't it be an interesting kind of revenge if all Muslims were forbidden to fly on commercial flights for 10 years. Your people foul the waters, so you aren't allowed to swim. :-)

Apparently all it takes is one or two idiots like this to complain to the flight crew to get other passengers booted off a plane. There's your tyranny, wing-nuts.

In the China, Muslins were forbidden to fly on commerial flights in their country after 9/11.. Be careful what you wished for Republicans, You could be the next Religious cult to fly without tail feathers..
