Aragona, Jr to Compete for NC House of Representatives Seat

The Jacksonville Daily News reports.

"I plan on bringing my conservative Onslow County roots to Raleigh and challenging the liberal establishment," Aragona said in an e-mailed statement announcing his intention to file for state office.

I wonder if George Cleveland, current holder of the 14th District seat, is retiring or part of the "liberal establishment" Aragona, Jr. plans to challenge?

I'm working on an email to Aragona, Jr. regarding his stances on many topics.

Interestingly, Cleveland didn't know about Aragona, Jr.'s ambitions until a Jacksonville Daily News reporter called for a comment. What a way to find out you'll be having a contested primary?

In the old republican days, the republican party was known for eating it's young. It appears that a new method has occured by throwing senior citizens republicans under the wheelchair......Poor George!
