Bev Perdue Campaign back on the air with a new TV ad
Submitted by justing on Wed, 02/27/2008 - 12:47pm.
After a brief hiatus, the Bev Perdue campaign is back on the airwaves today with a brand new TV ad.
The new ad, called “Real People,” is intended to highlight some of the new ideas Bev has proposed during this campaign, including her Health Care Roadmap, Main Street Solutions, and the Green Business Fund. You can read about all these proposals and much more at our website on our Building a New North Carolina page.

Nice quickie
As a matter of personal preference...I can't stand that whole repetitive thing, but it's still a decent ad. I'm going to watch it again, but first impression was that it had a more positive tone.
I was about to post this, glad you beat me to it.
I'm a little disappointed that you just cut and pasted the email! tsk tsk
Okay, what do I think about the ad. My wife and I were talking about song choice on American Idol last night, and yes dammit I actually like American Idol and I'm not afraid to admit it. There are some songs that were made so famous by one person that when you choose them, the listener can't help but sit there and think about the original. That is sort of how I felt about this ad. The second half of the ad was so choppy that it was distracting and I was left thinking that what they WANTED was this....
But, because it was so choppy that is all I focused on, I had to go back and watch it again to actually catch the content. The content. It was.....interesting. I guess the truth is that I am not the person this ad is focused on, I'm just not. I'm the person who has actually read the things she and Moore have released. This is aimed at people who haven't been paying attention. So, I'm going to do an informal poll of people who are probably not paying attention. Be back tomorrow with the results.
Robert...I agree about the choppiness
I think it was the repetition thing....at least that's what I blamed it on.
Oh....and we also tune in to watch Idol. It's something the entire family enjoys watching and it's clean enough for the entire family. Not much is these days.
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.
Exactly.
I think we've finally reached the point where every show has to involve the death of a baby, rape of a young girl, or senseless murder of school children in order for the networks to show it. OR, it has to be a mindless reality show. Or, PBS. Or, BBC.
: )
It took me awhile to hear back from people.
First, I just saw the ad on MSNBC over the weekend, and I have to say it played better in context than as a stand-alone video online. The responses I got from three people were:
I think I'm just going to let that stand, as is.
