Another non-functioning State Agency?

This is the current message at DMV web site. Maybe Aldona is moonlighting with the DMV!

The Green Tree/Ocwen/Nationstar Hustle

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau reported in March 2014 that mortgage complaints are rising and cite loan transfers as a significant facet of the problem.

Loan servicers such as Green Tree, Ocwen, and Nationstar are subjecting borrowers to unwarranted processing fees, illegitimate foreclosures, payment denial, misplaced documents, harassment and threats.  Loans under modification are at heightened risk of corporate malfeasance.

The Justina Pelletier Medical Experiment

The Justina Pelletier Boston Children's Hospital experience, as reported by The Boston Globe, demonstrates that parents and children have no substantive rights in the matter of medical child abuse allegations. Parents who follow physicians' recommendations may be charged with abuse and lose their children to state welfare agencies.

Initiators of the medical child abuse theory, Drs. Carole Jenny and Thomas Roesler, posit that parents, especially mothers, are able to coerce professionals into performing dangerous surgery and prescribing unnecessary drugs. If this dubious concept has any merit, the state is accusing the wrong party. The perpetrators are the medical practitioners.

Judge Joseph Johnston and the Justina Pelletier Case

Your special-needs, fourteen-year-old, daughter, is deprived of home and school and is placed in a psychiatric ward for ten months because a hospital review team altered her admitting diagnosis from physical [Tufts Medical Center- mitochondrial disease] to mental [Boston Children's Hospital-somatoform disorder].

The parents disagreed with the proposed psychiatric BCH treatment plan and asked that their daughter be transferred back to Tufts Medical. The answer was negative.

This is the crux of the controversial Justina Pelletier medical child abuse allegation on the part of

Hmmm, is it possible Tennessee has dumber legislators than NC?

In case anyone has missed the latest Republican wingnut cabaret, Tennessee version. In a nutshell, it features Gov. Bill Haslam and State Senator Bo Watson stamping their feet and shaking their ... err, members at Volkswagen USA for not sufficiently opposing the U.A.W. in its attempt to unionize the Chattanooga VW plant.

They are warning that, "...if VW's workers voted to embrace the U.A.W., the Republican-controlled Legislature might vote against approving future incentives to help the plant expand. "The members of the Tennessee Senate will not view unionization as in the best interest of Tennessee."

Think about that threat for a half second and it becomes obvious that the phrase, "incentives to help the plant expand" might as well be shortened to one word: "jobs".
These morons are willing to stand up in public and declare that they will screw the very people that elect them out of new jobs, just to spite the union. Honest to God they must be sneaking into NC at night to discuss strategy with DAG McCrory.

Musing on a Super Bowl Sunday night by a non-football fan.

The question begs to be asked, exactly which state has the dumbest collection of currently serving Republican politicians. I wish to advance Randy Weber(R-Asshat) as the standard bearer to lead Texas to the front of the pack.

Randy Weber is the Texas representative who tweeted before the State of the Union that he was waiting for the “Kommandant-in-Chef,” whom he called “The Socialistic dictator who’s been feeding US a line or is it A-Lying?” The stump dumb fool can't even spell "chief" correctly and taxpayers pay Mr. Weber $174,000 a year.

I know, I know we would like to think that our fine Old North State Repubs have managed to capture the coveted lead position this past year, so with that thought I would invite the submission of any competing quotes from the mouths of our very own Republican legislative mental midgets that might support our title claim.

So maybe it's an over reaction but when a assumedly legitimate newswoman like MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell reinforces the viewpoint of Princess Dumbass of the Northwoods(thanks Charlie P) by blithely interrupting her(Mitchell's) own ongoing interview about the NSA with the very knowledgeable Jane Harman to give us the breaking news that 19 year old Justin Bieber, Canada's talentless teen heartthrob gift to the US pop market has been arrested for being a DUI, drag racing, talentless teen heartthrob... well, lame stream might just be appropriate.

I don't know which is more painful, seeing the dissemination of news in America being relegated to the lowest common denominator or having to admit that Palin just could have a point, Meh!

What happens when a WONKBLOGGER tries to pass off a bogus theory about unemployment benefits in NC

Brad Plumer of Wonkblog has a really hard time supporting the theory of one of his sources in his ostensibly well meaning look at the problems associated with the slashing of unemployment benefits in NC.

1) Many workers may have dropped out of the labor force.
2) ...or perhaps employment actually increased.

His problems arise big time when he is taken to task by an unusually large number of unusually well informed readers concerning theory 2. The backpedaling begins almost immediately with the first couple of comments. The article and most importantly the comments are well worth a read. See link below to connect.
