Thank you and on to November!
Submitted by Bev Perdue on Wed, 05/07/2008 - 5:04pm.Whew! The last three days have been a blur—traveling on Monday, the excitement of Tuesday and the endless media obligations and phone calls today. Now that I got a moment, I would like to say thank you. I know I have a number of great supporters at BlueNC and I want to say thanks for your energy and for your vote.
I also know that there were some here who supported my opponent, but now I hope you will join me and the rest of the Democratic ticket because it’s time for us to unite this party and this state.
You can see the excitement building in the Democratic Party all around you. Our registration numbers are up and we had record turnout yesterday. We also know that we are on the right side of the issues for North Carolina families on health care, education, the environment, jobs, and more and more and more.
But we also know that we need to work together to reach out to independents, and yes, even some Republicans. If we come together now, I promise you I will be a fighter and a hard working candidate that won’t rest until Election Day and we will win.
Thank you and on to November!
A Positive Campaign
Submitted by Bev Perdue on Thu, 04/10/2008 - 10:40am.Dear Friends,
A few moments ago, I held a press conference here in Raleigh, where I announced that I will run all positive ads for the final weeks of the primary.
Frontpaged by James ... in hopes that this will be the start of a trend. Very happy to see this.
Building a New North Carolina
Submitted by Bev Perdue on Wed, 11/14/2007 - 3:30pm.Today I am launching a new webpage called Building a New North Carolina. I wanted y’all to be the first to hear about it. The page is going to be dedicated to highlighting new initiatives that I will pursue as Governor as well as some I have already been working on as Lt. Governor.
Check it often because I will continue to release installments throughout the campaign. You should also visit my new Flickr and YouTube pages.
First up is Rural HOPE. It’s an initiative I helped create as Chair of the Health and Wellness Trust Fund. It will help our state’s 56 rural hospitals be better equipped to provide quality health care to patients without forcing them to travel hundreds of miles.
I look forward to your thoughts and questions.
Take care,
Bev
