But then again,I FOR SURE dont consider myself to be anything special or important enough to receive a complement such as this! For all the good or important things I do I owe all or part of the credit to you good people, You are the ones who keep telling me I have it within me to do this job! This dinner is the climax event of
The 1st Graham County & Town of Robbinsville
Veterans Appreciation Day.

Dinner will begin at 6 o’clock PM until?? . The dinner will be a BBQ Dinner with all sides and afterwards will be a complete Gospel Music & Bluegrass show led by Cecil & June Rogers.

This is a copy of my LTE to the ACT, only I have went beyond the 200 word limit. I really didn’t think you would care if I added to it and at least said here what I really wanted to say in the Times. If they publish it, that will be a first. Hope it makes sense at least as I am in one of those "The more I think about it, the more pissed I get" moods! And, for those of you in or close to the 11th, I would really appreciate it if you would just happen to email it to anyone you know in the 11th!

In the online edition of Friday, Sept 29th Asheville Citizen Times, Congressman Charles Taylor took a lot of cheap shots at Heath Shuler & Ex. GA Senator, Disabled Vietnam Vet, Past Secretary of Veterans Affairs and the National Cmdr. of the Disabled American Vet's, Max Cleland. He was, at best, Misleading & Dishonorable! Taylor seemingly has no, nor, has he ever had any, Respect for Veterans of the 11th District, much less a highly decorated Veteran such as Cleland!!

T-K Day Battle Plans Announced

Today, Tuesday, September 26, 2006 , @ 0830 our Supreme Allied Commander , Rear Admiral Anglico Halsey Nimitz ,announced the plans for the concurring of the Old North State by the Democrats! This is a all out effort by our greatest Commanders to round up Taylor & Anti Kissell Supporters and house them in Panther Stadium until after the election.

General Viper Dan Patton, will lead elements of the third Army on a sweep from the Swain- Jackson county line to gather Taylorites. He commented that just as his troops, He didn’t want them to love him, just fight like hell for Shuler.

I am telling this lengthy story because it needs to be told. The director of the Asheville North Carolina Veterans Administration Medical Center has made it a practice to have members of his staff systematically turn away any veteran to whom they figure they can deny treatment. This practice is ongoing and has been for the furtherance of the director's personal career, under the guise of economizing. Veterans' co-payments are turned back into the regional office instead of going for patient care. This information was provided to me by a former Congressional aide. Congress recently granted this facility $26 million for its expansion but patient care is low on the director's list of priorities. Many of these veterans have no private health insurance and have nowhere else to go. A number have died because they could not get care in time. They are not impoverished or underprivileged. They are shocked to find that they cannot receive at the Asheville facility care which would be routinely available at any other VA facility. Apparently because of the whimsical personal policy of the director, James Christian, they are simply being denied illegally the care to which they are entitled.

I want to ask a simple question. WHY, Did Charles Tayloy NOT fight in the war in Vietnam? He was certanly old enough as you will see.

Now, what I would like to know as would many other Vietnam Veterans within the 11th District is just why he chose to stay in school during the years of the bloodiest conflict in history, The Vietnam War, while 58,442 of our Brothers died there. Was he with sickness? That I can understand.

Many, others such as John McCain, John Snow and others served their time.

Every Since the beginning of time man has experienced war. However, in these days in which we have all grown up in, if a Democrat did start one, a Republican would promise to end it to get elected and then escalate the heck outta it! For those who don't understand, War is big Business for Republicans.

I became a Veterans Advocate because of that and 3 other reasons. First, I saw the need to help Brother & Sister Veterans. Second & Third is because Heath Shuler, his Campaign Mgr. Hayden Rogers, and Sen. John Snow inspired in me the need of doing something positive. I have been able to assist 108 veterans from as far away as Asheville & Charlotte since Heath was here on 14 April. So if you give anyone any Thanks please give it to Heath & Sen. Snow on election day.

This Thursday, September 28,2006, Heath Shuler & staff will be bringing Max Cleland to Asheville & Franklin! Even though he doesn't remember me, I will never forget the handshake he gave me as a young 24 year old soldier! And I cannot, for once find the proper words to express my gratitude and thanks. He is the ultimate Democrat and the ultimate citizen soldier. I hope you can make one of the events!

I was up till 4 am last night with this & only had 2 hrs of sleep. Following in Screwys footsteps! Hope you all like it, I gotta up date the blog. I am just now getting over the 9 day creepin crud.

Last night, the phone rang so hard it jumped off the hook. I could not believe what I was hearing. The 11th District Congressman Charles Taylor will receive the first ever Liberty Bell 7 Award!

This award was created for the sole purpose of honoring those government employees, just like Astronaut Gus Grissiom, who get scared and blew their hatch too soon! This award is for nothing less than being a total failure at ones endeavors.

Here in Western NC we have Vets liveing homeless thru the winter, also others. Folks cant afford medical care,food,getting their car fixed, puttin their children thru school so this is what Taylor does about it!!

Amid hopeful talk of the future, Rep. Charles Taylor and Russia's ambassador to the United States welcomed 20 Russian college students to western North Carolina to study business.

The young Russians, participating in a yearlong program at area colleges that is partially funded with federal money, sang a karaoke version of the Beatles'"Let It Be" and a Russian folk song last month. They even pulled Taylor and Ambassador Yuri Ushakov into an impromptu dance.
