Youngest Member's 1 month anniversary....

Hello Blue NC!! This week marked my one month anniversary as your youngest member in the NC House. I have really learned a great deal, met amazing people and listened to a lot of debate in the last month. I serve on 7 standing committees and 1 select committee. I have realized that most of the work is accomplished in committees. Each committee has its' own personality and style. Some are well attended by the public and lobbyists and some are not. They are all so interesting. I have sponsored a wide variety of legislation. I hired an assistant within my first week. My legislative assistant is great and I am so lucky to have her! She has experience on the Senate side so she knows her stuff!

Newest Legislator saying Hello to BlueNC

Hello BlueNC!
I am Tricia Cotham, the newest and youngest member in the NC General Assembly. I am so honored to serve District 100 and to represent our great state in the NC General Assembly. In addition, I am proud to be the youngest member ever to serve. I am enjoying my new role very much and learning a lot from many of you and other great Democrats. The last several weeks have been amazing and humbling. I have enjoyed listening to some great and historical debate on the House Floor. I am truly fortunate to serve with so many outstanding Democratic Legislators from across our state. They are inspiring and great role models and mentors for me.

Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory says he wants to change the culture in Raleigh. I guess that's why he wrote this letter to PAC lobbyists asking for their fundraising help. Change you can believe in? Riiiiiiight. Join the conversation here.
