BlueNC -- Thank You!!!! Labor Race - To Be or Not to Be

First, BlueNC -- I can't thank you enough for the incredible support you have given to my campaign and to Will and me personally. We couldn't have done it without you!!! It is remarkable that with close to 1.2M votes the race is still just a few thousand apart for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. It's my understanding that this Tuesday the County Canvass will be complete and by that time the Provisional Ballots will have been sorted. By Thursday the 2nd place can request a run-off. I've been told that there were upwards of 90,000 provisionals in the 2004 general - and with those types of numbers anything is possible. So my campaign is still focusing forward. However, on the flip side my political intuition is that regardless of the ultimate number of provisionals recognized the percentages between the four of us may not change dramatically enough to move me into 2nd place. So you can probably imagine what my days/nights have been like since Tuesday -- I have PTPD (Post Traumatic Primary Disorder). There is a perverse non-political side of me that is hopeful I will be hip deep in a run-off so I can continue to avoid those chores that crept up over the past 3 months - when did the grass start growing? The other side of me is committed to ensuring that the people of North Carolina have a Commissioner of Labor who will fight for working families. No matter what – the one thing I know we all can absolutely positively agree on is that the 'Elevator Lady' MUST go!! So please stay tuned and keep me in your thoughts...

Robin Anderson for Labor Commissioner

I think about you every day

It must drive you nuts to be waiting like this.

Good to see you're in strong spirits.

I'm holding out for you, Robin.

Still got signs in the back of my car! You've got to be on pins and needles. Argh.

But as you say -- no matter the outcome of the primary, we've got to have a Commissioner of Labor that actually does the job. I hope it's you running against the Elevator Lady come November, but if it's not, you've educated me enough to know how to advocate for the Democrat.

Be the change you wish to see in the world. --Gandhi

Ditto.

I've got signs ready to be put back up if need be.

Hang in there Robin

I have your signs in the garage ready to go back out and I'll mention the race at the 9th Congressional District Convention on Saturday in case there is a runoff. Thanks for stepping up to get rid of the elevator lady.

TrueMeckDem on Myers Park Pat

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
