APEX, NC - Representative Paul Stam told Triangle radio listeners today that the General Assembly will soon take up - and pass - legislation that will define abortion as murder in North Carolina.
"This Thursday, on Valentine's Day, the mighty hand of the Lord is going to strike back against the legions of whores, baby-killers, and fornicators who have ignored His holy commandments," said Stam. "Abortion is not just murder, it's premeditated murder. Those found guilty must be put to death."
Mirroring a proposal now making its way through the Iowa legislature, Stam says his bill will finally put women in their place. "The Bible says women are good for one thing and one thing only. Breeding," said Stam. "That's why my bill is identical to the one introduced by my friend Rob Bacon, a devout conservative Christian serving God in the Corn Hole State.
"Bacon, R-Slater, and eight other Republicans introduced the bill in the Iowa House Wednesday. It would alter the definition of a person in murder cases to “an individual human being, without regard to age of development, from the moment of conception, when a zygote is formed, until natural death.”
“It’s to protect the life of the unborn,” Bacon told the Tribune. “There’s still some of us that believe life begins at conception.”
Those charged with murder, under the bill, would include a mother who takes abortion-inducing drugs or a doctor who performs an abortion. It also grants no exceptions for rape, incest or to protect the life of the mother.
Liberal activists reacted swiftly to the news.
"I predicted this in 2010 when the Tarheel Taliban took over," wrote James Protzman on the BlueNC blog. "People said I was exaggerating, but sadly, I was simply ahead of my time. Defining abortion as murder is the only natural conclusion you can come to if you are a misogynist dick like Paul Stam. And once you come to that conclusion, the next logical step is capital punishment. In Stam's sick world, rapists are doing God's work, and women who have abortions should be electrocuted or given lethal injections."
