The North Carolina General Assembly voted late Monday to override Gov. Bev Perdue’s veto of the $20.2 billion 2012-13 state budget.
The House was first to approve the override in a 74-45 vote cast just before 10 p.m. The Senate quickly followed with a vote of 31-10..

It is just so crushing when the gravy train grinds to a halt. Wait till 2020 when the debt service
for our national debt, alone, will consume 100% of tax revenue. Things are going to get REALLY nasty then; but you know the piper never plays nice when it's past time to pay.
