As the chairman of the House Science and Technology subcommittee, Miller is fighting the Bush Administration’s attempt to decide who will have the most influence over writing rules that protect the health and safety of our citizens.

Congressman Brad Miller Travels to Greenland to Study Research Efforts on Global Climate Change

Rep. Brad Miller (NC-13), Chairman of the House Committee on Science and Technology's Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, will join other members of the House Science Committee on a Congressional Delegation tour of global climate research stations in Greenland. The trip will include a helicopter tour of glaciers and a tour of Sondrestrom Radar Facility. The purpose of the trip it to observe changes in the Arctic environment and to learn about ongoing research on global climate change.

Agencies within the Committee's jurisdiction, including the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), fund and perform much of the research in the Artic.
