After dark

First saw this on The Donna Reed Show in the early 60s. Happy Father's Day.

Being a dad

is just about the greatest thing that ever happened to me. It's also the reason I'm so concerned about what is happening in our state. I have a daughter and a granddaughter - and the thought of them living under the thumb of the Tillisberger is a source of constant worry.

From the original show:

Hear, Hear!

I always say that long after I'm gone, the only real impact I will have had on the planet is via my kids (no grandkids yet, hoping for some, good for you James).

And like you, I'm doing everything I know how to leave them a better North Carolina than I found. And lately that is among the greatest challenges of my life.

But together we'll eventually succeed.

"I will have a priority on building relationships with the minority caucus. I want to put substance behind those campaign speeches." -- Thom Tillis, Nov. 5, 2014
