If you're not reading the Daily Tarheel on a regular (if not daily) basis, you are missing out.
#hpupoll has information everyone has been waiting for: NCer's favorite holiday pies. Pumpkin wins (22%), but there is a good deal of variation. Graphic attached, memo with methods is here: https://t.co/dveLNRAaHz pic.twitter.com/rgpjiXxUZi

Okay, here's the deal: pumpkin pie is barely tolerable, even with a mountain of whipped cream on it, sweet potato pie is just nasty, apple pie can be glorious or disappointing, depending on who makes it, chocolate pie is much the same as apple, except when people try to get cute and make it with some sugar substitute, moving it into the nasty category, so that just leaves Pecan Pie (yes, I capitalized it) as your best bet. I had some once that was overcooked, and it was still yummy, but required an emergency tea refill. But the rest were close your eyes, slow down your chewing to maximize the moment, and a brief glance to see how much was left in the pan. Crap, now I'm hungry...

That's just making me hungrier...
SO excited to serve on the NC Council for Women -- thank you @NC_Governor for appointing me!
If you know me, you know fighting for safe, thriving communities for women makes my heart beat fast. It is such an honor to get to do that with this inspiring group. @CouncilNC #ncpol pic.twitter.com/my6Mn6DuC9

Congrats, Liz. You've earned it, and Roy knows what he's doing. Feel free to come here and update us from time to time.
OPINION: We are dedicated to making sure your money doesn’t stay in the government’s hands forever, & want to send out as much of this money as we can, as quickly as we can, to its rightful owners, writes @NCTreasurer Dale Folwell.https://t.co/O9nfRKKfQR #NCPOL #NCGA

Not a big Dale Folwell fan, but this thing is for real. Just for shits & giggles I checked the site, and a few weeks later I got a check for $85. I still don't know what it was for, but I took my princess to Olive Garden, nonetheless.
UNC System’s political connections are strong, with its campuses funded by the state and its governing board members appointed by state legislators. This move would bring the system office into the hub of North Carolina politics. #ncpol #nced https://t.co/5YgIgsNBcK

This is a mistake. It should remain at the flagship University, and not down the street from BergerMoore.

What SnozzWanger said. Robinson seems to be hyper-focused on LGBTQ folks. Methinks he doth protest too much...
More #NC14: Sen. Deanna Ballard (R-Watauga) tells me that after the hard work of delivering the budget, she's going to take this week to spend w/ family, but is "strongly considering" a run in NC-14. Expect an announcement after 11/29. #ncpol #WNCnews #ncga #AVLnews #election2022

And where is this NC 14 of which you speak? You know what, I'll look at one of those bent maps later, I don't have the stomach for it now.
On that nauseating note, here's your Onion:

I laughed way too hard at that. Time for another St. John's Wort...
