Elizabeth Dole in Trouble

Elon has a new poll and you're going to love it. While most people are satisfied or highly satisfied with how Dole is doing her job and approve or highly approve of her as their senator, they don't plan on voting for her in November.

Yep. Liddy's in trouble.

When asked if they plan to vote for Dole, 24.8% flat out said, "NO!" and 37% said yes. Of the remaining respondents 14.2% said it was too early to tell and 22.5% said they were not sure.

Here's the problem for Democrats, In an open-ended question on who should run against Dole both Neal (3.9%) and Hagan (6.5%) and "named someone else/other" (8.2%) are running a distant third, fourth and fifth to "too early to tell/not sure" (34.8%) and "don't know" who received a whopping 46.6%.

We have our work cut out for us. No matter who wins the nomination we have to rally to help spread the word.

Any way you cut it, though, Dole is in trouble. Watch your mailboxes for her next fundraising push.

Ok, Ok....more said yes than no

...but Dole is in trouble. Numbers this low for an incumbent spell disaster.

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Vote Democratic! The ass you save may be your own.

Oh...yeah...and another thing

I've never much liked Elon polls. I just like the numbers in this one. I'm going to enjoy them before I take a better look at the poll and wind up telling you they added wrong or something.... hehe

Yeah....and I think there are other things wrong with it too

I know I read a general critique of their polls somewhere last year, but I can't remember what the problem was....I think their sample size was small or something.

Anyway....I'm celebrating and you are NOT going to stop me, Mr. Thomas Brock! :D

Don't make me come over there, Ms. Muse...

I'm not trying to be a downer, but there's an awful lot of work to be done before the champagne (the expensive bottles, anyway) can come out.

Polls aren't going to decide November's elections...Get out the vote will. Whoever has the better GOTV (and in the east, it's been the Republicans) will win.

Thomas S. Brock

What have YOU done today to elect a Democrat?

What have YOU done today to make the world a better place?

Such a lovely poll.

Numbers like this bring a tear of happiness to my eye.

North Carolina. Turning the South Blue!

North Carolina. Turning the South Blue!

I'm confused

Dole has 37%, and Hagan has 6.5%, and you're saying Dole is the one in trouble?

Me no comprende!

which is why her low numbers are troubling for the Republicans and good for us.

By the time a Democratic nominee gets picked and the media starts focusing more on the senate race, our nominee will likely shoot up in the polls while Liddy might remain stagnant.

Keep on dreamin'

If this poll is in any way accurate, then all Elizabeth has to do is convince 13 percent of the remaining 37 percent of undecideds to go her way. In other words, if she just gets 1 in 3 of the undecideds, she's in good shape. Considering she will begin the campaign with a decided edge in money and name recognition, I would just not get too giddy right yet.

I'm not so sure.

I have a feeling there will be some pretty big democratic coat tails this November, and all we'll have to do is be sure to show Liddy struggling mightily to plant a kiss on Bush (that clip is out there, I'm sure), and it will be a done deal. No one wants a W-lover.

Be the change you wish to see in the world. --Gandhi
