Families USA Invites You to Health Action 2014: Making the Promise Real

Please join us Thursday, January 23 through Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, for Health Action 2014.

We’ll hear from experts about the political context that informs our work, identify unanticipated challenges, and—most importantly—turn our focus toward making the promise of the Affordable Care Act real for consumers across the nation. So bring your knowledge, experiences, and questions!

    8:30am-10:00am Morning Plenary: Medicaid Expansion: State Perspective

    A roundtable of state and national experts will speak to the future of expansion states past open enrollment as well as how advocates can build campaigns and organize toward expansion. Whether your state has agreed to expand Medicaid or has yet to expand {NC rejected Medicaid Expansion], the discussion will give insight into what is working well in Washington (an expansion state) and how advocates in a campaign that has not moved forward is building momentum.
