Frasier picks another loonie

Sideshow Bob raises money for preppy warlord:

Kelsey Grammer, the star of the hit TV series “Frasier,” is coming to Wilmington early next week, but his visit is political, not theatrical.

Grammer will appear at fundraisers in Wilmington and Lumberton Monday for Republican Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano, Pantano confirmed Tuesday. He said the private fundraisers would be held at private homes, but would not disclose the locations.

Yawn...

While looking for a video of Pantano, I came across this, which I hope you'll enjoy as much as I did:

Heroic energy trader? ;)

Loonie?

How dare you make fun of a heroic Goldman Sachs energy trader who served his country by speculating in energy futures, creating wealth for his overlords while punishing the middle class and adding to the risk of another global depression.

Are we giving a damn about Mike McIntyre?

I just can't bring myself to do it.

If McIntyre and Shuler lost, I wouldn't cry a bit.

I just have this image

of some future Republican-controlled Congress with Pantano sitting as chairman of the Armed Services Committee, crafting legislation on rules of engagement and such, and that does make me want to cry.

Crying

I wouldn't cry either, though I'd rather keep the House in the hands of Democratic leadership. Some have even argued that a slimmer majority could give the few progressives in Congress a stronger position, though I'm not sure I buy it.

The use of a Democratic Congress escapes me

Earlier this week, the Speaker Pelosi-led US House approved emergency war funding -- of DEFICIT SPENDING WITH NO OFFSETS -- with a coalition of GOPers and spineless Dems.

For war billions more, but no more for the poor.

Even Brad Miller and David Price voted for the package that the Senate wouldn't change.

I just don't see the use of keeping the US House in Democratic hands.

And I can make that argument without even touching LGBT issues which the Pelosi-led House has NOT acted on.

To the wilderness with the federal Democrats.
