Adam Linker's headline at Progressive Pulse says it all:
Steve Troxler and Cherie Berry get tax-payer funded health insurance while trying to block health care for all North Carolinians
The offices of Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry and Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler have confirmed to me that both commissioners are enrolled in the State Health Plan — a tax-payer subsidized plan that requires Berry and Troxler to pay no premium.
Although Berry and Troxler enjoy tax-payer funded coverage they are trying to kill health reform by claiming that expanding health insurance to low-income North Carolinians is too burdensome for the state.
So is the State Health Plan too great a burden for North Carolina? If so, I would think Berry and Troxler would drop their coverage on principle.
I join Adam's call for Berry and Troxler to start paying for their own cushy coverage effective immediately. If you agree, add a comment below. Something simple will do like: Got hypocrisy? Start paying for your own damn health coverage.
