The governor won't see you now

Today the NC NAACP attempted to deliver petitions to DAG McCrony asking him to call a ‘Special Redemption Session’ of the NC General Assembly.

Here's a fast-forward synopsis of their pilgrimage, captured fully in video:

  1. Group (apparently mostly clergy) arrives.
  2. Guard greets them, tells them the DAG is not in the building and they can't come in.
  3. Rev. Barber establishes that they have every right to come in, they go in (passing through metal detectors, because you know how threatening those pastors, priests and rabbis are!)
  4. Eventually Kimmo greets them and says that she'll "check" to see if the DAG is available.
  5. Prayers ensue
  6. Kimmo returns and tells them that yes, the DAG is in the building, but he's in a meeting and oh so very busy and can't see them, but she'll be happy to take their petitions.
  7. Kimmo accepts their petitions with the most miserable fake smile on her face. You can almost see the thought bubble of her thinking she doesn't get paid enough for this and she doesn't like these people and wait 'til she can tell the DAG about this and they can have a hearty laugh.

The video is half an hour but worth watching, or at least watching the highlights.

DAG McCrony is such a loser

He won't ever come out of his bubble in Alternate Realityville to meet with people other than his sycophants. The clueless arrogant SOB sent a surrogate.

If they had been a group of rich white males

DAG would have shown them to his office and poured them drinks.

Art...

...locks him in his room????

Poor Patty

Just remember, he doesn't give a crap what you think. As he said recently about his infamous pie debacle, "Who cares?"

Such disdain for people he sworn to represent.

You may be right, Rip

But I don't suppose Kimmo would have actually told Rev. Barber, "I'm sorry, but Governor Pope has sent the DAG to his room because he was always underfoot and just making a big pest of himself".
