Indy Weekly: Hagan's "atheist" actually a former Sunday school teacher

Barry Yeoman reports for the Indy Weekly that the alleged atheist in Elizabeth Dole's ad vs. Kay Hagan is actually, you guessed it, a former Bible/ Sunday school teacher currently studying theology at Harvard Divinity School.

Thanks, Lisa

Goodness gracious. The plot sickens ... just when I thought it was as bad as it could get.

Hogan's quote in Barry's story is flat-out unbelievably dumb.

Doubts about Dole?

You know what makes me sick?

Christians are a MAJORITY RELIGION in this country -- around 73%, according to the last census figures I saw. But they continually act like an oppressed minority whenever someone around them just wants the same rights that they've enjoyed for so long.

Yes! Thank you!

That is sooooo right! I was wondering I was alone here in this opinion. Some Christians are always whining about being "oppressed" and having their rights "violated" simply because everyone does not share their point of view.

I ran a critical thinking blog for two years. I was usually doing battle with one of the Triangle's biggest Right wing-nut Christian group, Called2Action. They came unhinged this summer because of the CBS series Swingers. Stores dare say "Season's Greetings" instead of "Merry Christmas"? WAHHHH! It's a war on Christmas! Schools dare participate in the GLBT Day of Silence? WAHHHH!!! Homos are out to destroy the family!

What a bunch of whinny neurotics!
