Thanks for the pics

Both of you got some really good shots, as usual. I've been putting off replacing my camera that was stolen, and today I could have kicked myself for doing so. There were only a hundred or so people there when I left, but they had some really cool signs.

Thankful Tuesday

Some on the right have spent many months denouncing such rallies as meaningless, and now they're throwing their own? And organizing it through an officially partisan group to boot. One of the strengths of Moral Mondays is that they're open to everyone. Personally, I would have gone for Thankful Thursdays for the stronger alliteration.

Claude Pope, chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, sent an email to party supporters, whom he called "patriots," on Monday, outlining plans for the Tuesday rally.

Emphasis added, because I believe I recognize that name as the same as our state's Budget Director. Does anyone else find humor in seeing one Pope organizing a rally to be thankful for another Pope's policies?

When I First Heard of This...

...I thought that our side ought to show up at the same time. I heard that Tillis was going to let them in the rotunda and promised no arrests. What an opportunity!

In the absence of us assembling a crowd, we ought to at least go get some photos.

WRAL should take a poll of how many participants are from North Carolina and how many are imported from out of state .
