Ron Rabin stands with Cliven Bundy

One of our state senators stands with Cliven Bundy and he wants everyone to know.

So what does it mean to stand with Cliven Bundy? Here's what Right-wing Ron is standing with:

  • Land squatting: Bundy thinks that federal land is for his private benefit. For years he legally grazed his cattle on federal land, but in the early 1990s, the feds told him he (and others) couldn't do that any more because they wanted to protect an endangered tortoise species. Bundy ignored them. He treated our public land as his own.
  • Bombers? No one ever took responsibility for 3 mid-1990s bombings at a US Forest Service office but a whole lot of people think it might have been anti-fed ranchers "sending a message".
  • Threats and intimidation:
"I'm concerned about the safety of my employees," says Jim Nelson, Forest Service district manager for Nevada. "They can't go to church in these communities without having someone say something. Their kids are harassed in school. Stores and restaurants are not serving them."
  • Lawlessness: Bundy and some of his neighbors don't recognize federal government authority. They continue to graze their cattle on our land after being repeatedly told that's illegal. "No grazing" signs are destroyed. Bundy had numerous warnings that his cattle were going to be impounded, and court orders were issued allowing the impoundment and ordering him not to interfere with the impoundment.
  • Tax evasion: Bundy reportedly owes about $1 million in taxes and fees that he refuses to pay. Impounding his cattle was estimated to cost us taxpayers another $1 million.
  • Armed insurrection: Wing nuts gathered on a bridge [photo in the cited article] with loaded weapons, including several assault rifles, anticipating an armed battle with federal agents. Yep, they fully intended to shoot officers of the law.

Yes, Ron Rabin stands with Cliven Bundy. Ron Rabin thinks it's a good thing to have people aim loaded assault rifles at federal officers with the intent to shoot and kill them.

Harnett, Johnston and Lee counties must be so proud!

States rights?

We know that the lunatic fringe continues to become the mainstream of the Republican party. The nullification nuts seem to be popping up more frequently.

They typically scream about "states rights" and refuse to recognize federal authority.

But it occurs to us that some of these folks didn't hate the federal government so much when Bush was president.

So ...

Senator Rabin supports armed insurrection against the government?

The last time I checked that was called "Treason".

That would be

kind of contrary to his oath of office, wouldn't it?

Ask him ....

... why he is supporting an act of treason on his Facebook page.

Bundy the racist

We already knew he was a deadbeat and a criminal who foments armed insurrection against the government, and now we know Cliven Bundy is a racist.

"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro," Bundy said, "and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids – and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch – they didn't have nothing to do. They didn't have nothing for their kids to do. They didn't have nothing for their young girls to do.

"And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?" Bundy continued. "They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I've often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn't get no more freedom. They got less freedom."

Still standing with Bundy, Ron Rabin?

Will wonders never cease?

Apparently feeling the heat from Cliven Bundy's outrageous racist remarks, Ronny now says:

We have several thoughts and comments about Ron's tweet. For now at least, we'll just hold them.

Rabin's a Fox viewer

He must be taking his cue from Fox News. Hannity denounced the remarks and Fox finally broke its silence about Bundy's tirade on their website yesterday evening.

Of course he is

He and the crowd he hangs with get all of their false information from Fox News, Wing Nut Daily, Daily Caller, Rush and Breitbart.

Joe Langley is running for

Joe Langley is running for this seat. He is a good man with a solid resume. I would urge everyone to support his candidacy. He does have a primary opponent, Mr. Clark, who is a fringe candidate, but Joe is the viable option to Rabin. I don't do facebook but here is a link to his page. https://www.facebook.com/JoeLangleyforNCSenate

I'm a moderate Democrat.
