Rouzer accuses Obama administration of being "girly men"

Another chickenhawk puffs up his chest:

North Carolina State Sen. David Rouzer (R), the GOP nominee in the state’s 7th congressional district, levied the charge during a speech at a Tea Party Express rally in Wilmington on Sunday. If Romney is elected, Rouzer said, those perpetrating recent violence in the Middle East are going to “cut it out a little bit [...] because now we have real men in the White House.” An audience member shouted “No girly men!” prompting Rouzer’s approval: “That’s right, no girly men.”

Says the man who hasn't served a day in uniform, and probably would have joined his GOP colleagues in blocking the veterans jobs bill. I'm surprised he didn't drop Reagan's name in there, to remind people of the freeing of hostages in Iran. Who then proceeded to blunder all across the Third World creating little wars that he could lose.

On a separate yet equally disgusting note, his use of that phrase is not only 7th grade playground fodder, it's sexist as hell, too. I served with quite a few females in my years in the Army, and most of them were not only very professional, they could put Rouzer on his ass in a heartbeat, and still have time to clean the slime off their uniform such an encounter would cause.

At one time you were a farmer, David. If you want to puff up your chest about subsidies or tariffs, go right ahead. But when it comes to sending soldiers in harm's way, you need to leave the strut at home.

Rouzer's pandering to the tough guy wannabes is a sure thing--like a Dick Cheney deferment!

Israel Trip

I note David Rouzer's latest ad attacking a Congressional "junket" supposedly taken by Mike McIntyre and his wife on "taxpayer dollars."

I assume McIntyre had a clear governmental reason why he was on the "trip" (not "junket"--I refuse framing language)that was related to his official duties as a Congressman.

The Democrats have a golden opportunity to respond to this silly ad with the one like below.

What's not so clear is the GOP's recently FBI probed "work related" reasons for a "privately funded" (read lobbyist funded) "fact-finding" to Israel where a number of drunk GOP late-nighters swam in the Sea of Galilee. The frolicking episode included numerous GOP freshmen lawmakers, top GOP leadership staff — and one nude GOP member of Congress, according to more than a dozen sources, including eyewitnesses.

I notice Rouzer did not mention this in his ad.

Maybe this is why Paul Ryan stays in such good shape.

Well the bad news is McCrory will be governor. Not because he's good for North Carolina, but because the Democratic nominee is so bad and a last minute choice as a result of the Perdue administration meltdown.

The good news is that Obama will be reelected and the Democrats will retain the Senate.

I'm not so sure about the North Carolina legislature --which is so right wing right now that fracking is considered "environmentally friendly" policy!
