This is truly shameful. If there were any lingering thoughts that Vietnam vet and POW John McCain was a man of honor (a term, by the way, which he struggled to define in a recent Time magazine article ... now we know why), the latest McCain-Palin campaign ad criticizing Obama on education should put those notions to rest. While I'm hesitant to post the ad—it's so full of distortions, and really pisses me of every time I see it—it needs to be seen to be believed.

As Obama spokesman Bill Burton states, the ad "is shameful and downright perverse."

In essence, Obama supported "age appropriate" sex-education for children as a means of teaching them what was proper or inproper touching, as well as to protect them against pedophiles, his campaign has said.

Not only that, but the articles the ad cites were even more critical of McCain than they were of Obama! Funny how it doesn't mention that little tidbit.

So John McCain actually approved this ad? It seems that the acid slime of Bush-Rove has fully wormed its way into the man's soul and dissolved whatever remnants of "honor" or integrity that might've been there once upon a time. We as Americans deserve better than this.

I can't wait for some interviewer to ask the man, "So, Senator McCain, given your approval of the education ad, is it true that you're rather get elected than protect children from pedophiles?" I'm not holding my breath on that one.
