Shuler staff says Taylor left no files

Heath Shuler's being sworn in today, and it looks like he's already got his hands full. Taylor's folks wiped out the information on the office's computers.

"They've been just as difficult as they can be," Shuler's chief of staff, Hayden Rogers, told the Citizen-Times.

Rogers said it's not just a question of his Democratic boss being inconvenienced by the outgoing eight-term Republican's staff. He said constituents who had asked their congressman for help will now have to start all over.

"We have no case files. We don't even have knowledge that casework was being done for individuals," he said. "To clean off the operating systems, that's more than just cleaning the files."

One More Bit of Evidence

Taylor is such a 24k twerp. I visited his official congressional website the week after the election and he had already removed his e-mail address. So much for a burning desire to serve his constituents.

This'll come in handy when the @$$hole starts getting delusions about running again. The actions of an arrogant Greeder through and through.

More like covering his tracks.

Makes one wonder what was really on those computers.

Weren't they accused of much worse

and then it turned out to be the very first in a long and storied serious Bush administration fake news.

I think the IT staff on the Hill had to

I have not posted a coment here before and I hate for this to be my first, but I think the IT staff on the Hill had to whipe clean all the computers as part of their standard operating procedure. I think I remember hearing this when that short-term lady took over for Delay. Also, I work as an IT guy for a firm in Durham and we have to whipe clean all computers before giving them to someone else. Now I could be wrong here and if they did not back up all the importnat files that is surely a crappy thing to do.

Anyways, that is all I got. But ain't it a great day (well as good as it can be with our troops still stuck in Bush's war) with the GOP out of power in DC.

Welcome BrotherKen

Glad you spoke up. I'm sure they have to clean most data off the computer, but from what I'm reading they took off ongoing constituent files - requests from folks in the district for things like expedited Visas/pass ports, etc.

You're right. Today is a happy, happy day. I enjoyed watching the video on CNN of the standing ovation for Nancy Pelosi.

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

Great Shuler Story

Over at Booman. I won't ruin it, but it concerns his position on the escalation.

Jesus Swept ticked me off. Too short. I loved the characters and then POOF it was over.
