Tillis hones his IRS and BenghaziCare skills

Jumping on the meme bandwagon:

“The Obama administration and Kay Hagan have shown a complete lack of willingness to get the bottom of this scandal to determine whether or not Americans were targeted for their political beliefs,” said Tillis. “The IRS’ excuse that it conveniently lost emails that were subpoenaed by Congress is simply outrageous, and yet Kay Hagan continues to provide President Obama with political cover, once again failing to hold him accountable. The American people deserve the truth, and it’s time for a special prosecutor to be appointed to investigate.”

Speaking of e-mails, Thommy, what about all those back-and-forth communications related to the NC GOP's voter suppression efforts during gerrymandering season? Your IRS accusation has already been proven false after an in-depth perusal of the records, but investigations into the GOP here in NC have been stymied by claims of privilege and immunity. Give up all of those e-mails, and then you can bitch about the IRS.

Hypocrisy on parade

I'd love to see one of our mainstream reporters ask Tillis about this e-mail contradiction of his, but that ain't going to happen. While you and I might see a great deal of relevance in such a question, it would be considered "blatantly antagonistic" by those who feel they need to maintain a "productive relationship" with lawmakers in Raleigh.

While I understand their position, it doesn't change the fact that many pertinent questions never get asked.

Emails

Yep. Mr. Tillis knows a thing or two about covering his ass by obfuscation and obstruction. If the story ever gets out about how Republican voter suppression was purposefully designed to discriminate, he could find himself on the short end of a very ugly stick.

PS re: Tillis

what a freakin' tool this guy is. Has never been able to think for himself, and still can't.

We do in fact need a special prosecutor

to look into NC voter discrimination and Tillis's refusal to provide emails even after a court order to do so. And while we're at it, someone should investigate what Thom was doing when he skipped out of his obligation to lead the NC House for 3 days.

Tillis in DC Monday

Twitter doesn't have date/time stamps but to clear things up here's the scenario: I was on my way back from NYC to RDU via DC on Monday night. I had a 2 hour layover for a 10:20pm flight. Tillis appeared around 9:20pm at the gate. We had a 9:50pm boarding time. I took photos between about 9:25pm and 9:35pm. I posted some to FB immediately, then again to Twitter at boarding time. He traveled very light. I assume he was in DC and not connecting from some other city based on the direction he came from within the terminal. There's no way he was in Raleigh at the NCGA at 6pm Monday night. I was aware while I was traveling that there was some question as to where he was on Monday evening. When I saw him I took the opportunity to document the fact that he was in DC at Reagan Airport around 9:30pm on Monday night.

Thanks Greg

Thom definitely did NOT want people to know where he was. Media tried to get a statement from him, his legislative spokesperson and his campaign spokesperson, to no avail. Glad you could confirm what many of us suspected.

When you're hiding something, you're probably up to no good.

Tillis is definitely hiding something. And he's definitely not doing the job he took an oath to do, and that we are paying him to do.

But never mind that. Look over there! IRS! Benghazi!

YES!

And I think it's a direct quote. I'm pretty sure I heard him say it in one of the senate primary debates.

Love it!
