Misplaced trust in Trump?

If I heard that (or read the subtitles) correctly, it sounded like her father was expecting Trump to come to the rescue, for some strange reason. With all his talk about the "border wall" and "bad hombres," I can't imagine where he got that idea.

Succeeding in spite of uncertainty

One thing that stands out to me: Most of us just assume family will be there if we need someone to lean on. I can't imagine living with the constant threat that a mother or father or sister or brother (or all of the above) could be swept up and relocated to another country. Even if it was the country in which I was born. It's unimaginable. The difference is, I *try* to imagine it, while Trump supporters have shut off that part of their brains.
