Cumberland County Dems join the Online Community

The Cumberland County Democratic Party has launched a new website. This is good news for the state and the Democratic party as we try to increase participation and general excitement with the upcoming 2006 elections!

I hope that the residents of Cumberland County will take advantage of this resource and help strengthen the local party there.

It's also important to note that candidate Larry Kissell's district consists of a large portion of that county. Mobilizing those voters will be key to a good election year!

You need to send out emails to every Cumberland county dem (if you don't have emails, you should get them) asking for their input. You might get some good volunteer info.

There is plenty of time to work out any kinks and to make sure word gets around so Dems will make use of the site. Thanks for letting us know. I've been surprised that so few of our state level candidates do not have web sites.

Here at BlueNC we've found that going out and getting (or making) the news ourselves is a great way to empower and energize the netroots for concrete action. Send us all the news you get, and tell us how to help. I'm in Buncombe County in NC-11, so I'm mostly involved with the Shuler/Taylor election. But I am going to find time to help Larry, too. He's the heart and soul of an emerging progressive Democratic party

and haven't been near a computer. This is great news for those of us who live in Cumberland County. Everybody in district 8 needs to learn about Larry Kissell and realize how proud we will be when he is representing us in congress.

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
