Do we need a new coal plant in NC?
Duke Energy is building a new coal plant in North Carolina – in a time in which solving global warming is the most urgent issue to solve.
On June 2, 2008 the NC Division of Air Quality (DAQ) announced that a formal public process should be initiated to ensure that Duke’s permit contains the most stringent limits achievable, but we need to make sure that process includes public hearings so that ALL North Carolinians have a chance to give input.
Contact Secretary Bill Ross today and ask for public hearings in your area. You can request a hearing in three ways:
Send an email (bill.ross@ncmail.net)
Write a letter (see address and sample below)
