Al Manning, retiree, native of eastern NC and proud of it, plenty of time to read, research and get annoyed about the lack of accountability in elected leaders these days. Married to a real southern lady and we live with two labs and two airedales who run

We sure are glad you're here

Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.

I am glad you all are here. You provide a voice to the public.

Actually I should rephrase. Jesse Tilton will try to change the meeting suddenly because he knows we are coming. Then, he will not appear and send Ken Raber to lie for him. Then, there will be complete avoidance of the bad refinance deal, excessive spending. Afterall Tilton will still be recovering from his lavish trip to New Orleans with his board for APPA where they will be partying all week and then he will be ready for his annual meeting in Myrtle Beach which costs the ratepayers bucks from city travel and all the goodies they consume while lying on the beach in another state. Frustration is mounting.

TrueMeckDem on Myers Park Pat

"My opinion of Pat has changed over the years. I used to think he was truly a man of the people but the longer he has been mayor, the less I think of him.

As with most cities, Charlotte has three political parties: Dem, Rep, and Chamber of Commerce. Pat is definitely the puppet of the COC here. What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
