And just an added note: Duke University (like Cornell) has put some resources behind filling in the gaps of independent research (not industry-affiliated) on the environmental and health impacts from fracking, but UNC needs to step up as well. And if it's going to take a targeted endowment to make that happen, then someone needs to ask for it. Someone with the medical/scientific credentials, as opposed to a lowly blogger, if you catch my drift.
