Guess Who Said, "America Has Failed Our Veterans"

Why none other than, Colonel David Hunt, U.S. Army (Ret.), a FOX News military analyst!
He also says this in the commentary:
"For my disconnected, disinterested
uncaring friends, it's not about the damn money, We have the
damn money, it's us, we suck, we do not care...We are all
collectively allowing out government to perpetuate this
crime, the crime of not taking care of soldiers."
I found this over at VA Watchdog and decided to make an extremely rare visit to the FOX News? site where it originated.
The Colonel starts out with this little gem:
We — that’s you and me — just had a Veterans Day. You might have missed it? Did you notice that we had fewer parades and TV and radio shows talked a little less about the holiday. Just last year, we were all over our men and women in uniform and retired — we all said no matter what we think of the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, we were going to honor thos who served … remember that?
And than continues with a scathing attack.
We find this ending one paragraph:
I can say with a sadness that cuts very deep that we are now seeing returning veterans from this current war living on the streets of Boston and L.A. That ought to be enough to unseat a government.

Than ask yourself, as I did, Where The Hell Were You Colonel as Veterans, like myself, from 'Nam, Korea, WWII, and everything in between all of those were telling everyone Exactly what was going to happen to the returning Military Personel and Veterans of these latest Debacles of Wars of Choice!!

I do not understand where your going with this
He is saying that we have failed our Vets. He stated that we as a government are not keeping our part of the deal made to service members. That we tell our Vets or future Vets that we will support and protect you, but that we will also fail to support our vets once they can no longer stand at the tip of the spear. Where did he lie?
Look at Walter Reed, it might be fixed, it might not. As a vet, I will not even attempt to go to a VA hospital. Period. I am entitled.
He is saying the same thing you are saying?
He attacked our congress and our president to look at our Vets and to take care of them. Not to take better care of them, but to start taking care of them. Better will come later. Better should have been happening for a while.
When you were a Nam Vet, you and my father were promised free medical care for life, correct? He is showing us with this article that the government is abusing, that it lies, that we really only use our vets as pawns and photo ops. We do not have free medical care for life and heaven forbid we get injured and have to rely on the VA for medical care.
He stated that the military does their job...performs their part of an agreement. He stated that of the two sides, the military vet and our government, that the vet does what is asked of them knowing that we vets are going to be ignored. Vets hope our politicians will take care of us, but history has proven that the vet will be forgotten.
As a vet yourself, you should be pissed at people of our country who did nothing on Nov 11. Who have no clue what that date is set aside for. Mr. Hunt is pissed that we did nothing on that day and that is what he said in his article. That is what I read in his article.
What he said is true.
What you mentioned is also true
Do not ask this of Mr. Hunt, but of every politician that voted to go to war regardless of their stance now. History repeats itself unless you study history and do things to insure history will not repeat. Our politicians failed to study history and our Vets are paying this price again.
Soon, our vets are going to start coming home after serving a year in the dessert fighting this war and they will be greeted by spits, insults and harassment. OOOO wait, that is happening now.....That is what Mr. Hunt is mentioning. We do not support our vets. Our vets are not the ones that deserve this treatment, but our politicians. Both sides of the isle.
Every time this country goes to war, the vet is forgotten. That is what YOU and Mr. Hunt are saying. And your both right.
