Help College Dems Come up with Questions for Their Next LG Debate

I received an email from Doug Massengill, President of NCFCD (North Carolina Federation of College Democrats) asking if BlueNC could once again contribute questions for the debate between the four candidates for Lt. Governor. Here's his message.

The NCFCD is now accepting questions for the Lt. Governor's Debates in Charlotte at UNC Charlotte in the Cone Center. Questions are welcome from all interested persons, including non-college students. Questions should not be addressed to a particular candidate; however you may mention a candidate's position on an issue. The deadline for submitting questions for the April 12th debate in Charlotte, North Carolina is 12:00pm on April 11th. The executive board of the North Carolina Federation of College Democrats will screen questions for content and then refer them to the moderator for approval.

Questions may be submitted via the NCFCD's website.

To make it easy, take a stroll through the threads where questions for our gubernatorial candidates were posted. There are some really good questions. It would be a shame for them to go to waste.

Thanks for your help! Make sure to follow the link to send them to NCFCD. I'll make sure to email the thread to Doug as well.

The bad part about being involved in a campaign...

is you can never submit questions! So, if anyone is interested in submitting this question for me, danke muchly.

(Feel free to rephrase) Given the various other Democratic campaigns that are ongoing in NC that do not seem to raise the discourse, discuss the issues in a forthright and respective manner, and seem to have degenerated into who can make the most 30-second television ads...how would you say that the way you've campaigned for lieutenant governor, in all aspects, reflects how you would serve as lieutenant governor? Is there anything in your campaign that you regret doing?

Great question

It'll be interesting to see how things shape up during the home stretch.

PS I'm starting to sound like a broken record in the questions department, so I'll pass for now.

Charlotte or Winston Salem?

You mention both Charlotte and Winston Salem in the post.

Where is the April 12th debate?

"jump in where you can and hang on"
Briscoe Darling to Sheriff Andy

Ha! He updated an old post and missed something

I'm not sure. I'll see if I can find out.

Since When is Campbell Brown My Hero?

Trying to get a straight answer out of McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

BTW: I'm glad that Talking Points Memo posted this excerpt on Youtube, but since when does TiVo'ing something allow you to brand it with your logo? That's the Wild West...
