How many posers do we have on our Web site?
We sure have added a lot of new members lately, and almost all of them seem to be backing one specific candidate in one specific race! Coincidence? Methinks not.
Seems like we have had a lot of folks sign up for the site in the last few weeks, and a lot of them seem to be pushing one specific candidate. Coincidence? We'll see after the primary. I bet a lot of these posters disappear after their candidate gets wiped out in May.

Hey, now.
Some of us already disappeared!
(Just been busy preparing for the move...I'll see you guys Sunday!)

Great, Branden
Really looking forward to your visit!
They come in waves
There has been a flurry of new registrants lately, but not big numbers. From what I can see there's a pro-Moore contingent, a pro-Perdue contingent, and a pro-Clinton contingent ... but each "contingent" is only a couple of people.
Over the last couple of years this pattern of new folks coming in for specific causes or candidates has been pretty steady. It's my hope that they get engaged and decide to stick around for the broader issues, especially those who have new insights and ideas to offer. It's a slow process of building community - and we're obviously not the right place for everyone.
Glad you're here though - you just passed your one year anniversary with us!
Definitely not a poser
I had never heard of bluenc until you posted the debate. While I do support a particular candidate, I am also passionate about other issues. I was invited to participate when the debate was advertised. So, if it is ok, I would like to hang around. I kind of thought the invitation was to invite people into the community. I have actually seen some great posts and have participated in some. I have written some because those issues matter to me. I didn't know that I would be accused of being a poser because of the issues I care about. I am new to the blogging experience and wanted to cut my teeth here. This community seems to be open to hearing what everyone has to say.
I'm glad you're here.
I'm actually glad everybody is here.
Are you coming to the Bash tomorrow?
What I love about this site
is the passion for issues that are inter-twined with all of the various candidate contingents. I have met so many wonderful people, some times in real life, and sometimes just online, who are committed to the same or similar values that I am.
I even remember the date I found this site! It was August 29, 2006 that I met Momoaizo at a local meet and greet for a candidate for county commissioner. She and I started talking. She convinced me to come visit here, I convinced her to get more involved with the local party.
Now, I'm a front pager here, and she's the 3rd vice chair of our party. :-D. Grace and I are also very glad to call her and her hubby friends.
And with that little homage given, I'm going to assume that the word "poser" in your title, teepack, was meant to be "poster". I'm all about giving the benefit of the doubt today. :)

Thanks James
I will not be able to attend the bash. But I know that you all will have a great time hanging out and meeting people. Thanks for letting me cut my blogging teeth here. Trying to learn the rules as fast as I can. If you have a "hand out" of rules, slap it on the post so I can learn more quickly. :-D Wouldn't want to offend the more experienced folk.
We have a FAQ floating somewhere on the left sidebar
Usually, though, once we find someone planning on hanging out a while we are gentle with our rule nudging. Usually..... :D (Actually, we don't have that many.) Just ask if you need anything.

On rules.
I manage equipment and when I first started I went with the rules that were there and continued to expand on them. When we recently got new equipment I went with something more simple:
"Be nice. Be considerate of others. Don't make a mess."
Probably the best rules I've read, Robert.
I have reminders in my office that say,

Whatever happened to "devil's advocate?"
He popped in one day, made some really dumb remarks to Marshall, got his fanny tanned and, despite warning us that he "would be watching" hasn't piped up since.

I think every blog does.
