Journalism has just changed forever

The YouTube/CNN Democratic debate was fantastic.

It put to rest forever the claim that we need professional journalists to conduct presidential debates.

Long ago I grew tired of the stupid, repetitive questions that our so-called journalists always ask at these debates. The contrast between their questions with the amazing, real, down-to-earth video questions that were shown this evening was eye-opening.

When the debate was over, Wolf Blitzer came on. The first thing out of his mouth was a "horse race" question mixed in with one asking about discord and disagreement among the candidates. I had to turn the tv off immediately.

With respect to this kind of journalism, the netroots has just won.

I was working, so I was unable to live blog like I have in the past, but as part of my job I actually got to watch the debate (most of it) so that was great.

I loved the "Hair" video, but I really liked these two things:

My husband and I asked each other if Wolfie was watching the same debate that we were. What an ass Wolf Blitzer is.

I felt again that as a Democrat, I have an embarrassment of riches to choose from. I still support Edwards, but would be comfortable with Obama as the nominee. For the first time, Hillary Clinton impressed me with her answers. She still would not be my first choice, but I could live with her as the top of the ticket. I was impressed with every single one of the people on the stage, including "Crazy Uncle Mike Gravel".

would do a bold thing by adding a Republican to the ticket. Can you imagine a John Edwards/Ron Paul ticket? Juggernaut comes to my mind. Out-Republican the Republicans!

What is good for business is good for Charlotte and Pat ... very personable guy, he has gotten a bunch of Dems in these parts to vote for him but I don't trust him."
