To Larry Kissell: Why do you deserve tax-funded health care while millions of others don't?

The folks at NC Policy Watch are at the top of their game today, featuring a new postcard calling on Larry Kissell to get serious about health reform. For a guy who sang such a sweet populist song for two years as a candidate, he sure has turned into just another corporatist hack.

I know the answer

Larry is lucky enough to have a job, a job paid for by taxpayers, to go along with his excellent health care coverage, also subsidized by taxpayers. He's special now.

Technically

He has employer-funded healthcare. If you want to bash him for having "tax-funded" healthcare, then you must bash ALL government employees receiving health insurance from their employer.

Bash away

ALL government employees aren't standing in the way of extending health coverage to those in need.

Preaching to the choir

I know that I am likely preaching to the choir, but I am completely sick of the insurance companies complaining about the cost of insuring the high risk pool then complaining about a public option that would insure those very same people that they have labeled as cost liabilities. I guess the current "compromise" wherein they get to bill the government for that high risk population is the best of both worlds for them. No competition and they don't have to pay for the unprofitable sector. GAH!

I hope Bernie Sanders

that great independent Senator, will filibuster the atrocity currently making its way through the Senate.

Orange County Democratic Party

... members donated and/or worked our butts off to help Larry get elected.
An OCD Party leader (or better, Rep. Price) needs to give him a call.
