Liddy Dole: Good for a laugh
You gotta hand it to the Lidster, she's good for a laugh, even on her worst and most offensive days. Have you seen the news that she wants the mean old Democrats not to spend money against her in the general election?
One of U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole's top campaign advisors says he has asked the state and national Republican parties, as well as the National Republican Senatorial Committee, to steer clear of advertising in North Carolina's U.S. Senate race. And he's calling on Jerry Meek, chairman of the N.C. Democratic Party, to do likewise with his Democratic counterparts.
"You can agree to not run advertising targeting Senator Dole during the 2008 election cycle as well as encourage your Senate nominee and national parties to abstain from third party advertisements," Mark Stephens, Dole's chief campaign strategist, said in a letter today to Meek.
Surprise, surprise. After her disastrous tenure has the head of the NRSC, which is sucking wind in comparison to the Democratic committee, it's no wonder she wants to keep national money from the airwaves in North Carolina. Neal or Hagan will need all the support they can get from the purse-string holders in DC. Some campaign stunts are so transparent as to be laughable. This is one of them.
Got any advice for Jerry on this one?

OMG. Binker/Cone/Laura Leslie
Can you please, please, please run with the fact that Elizabeth Dole wants democrats to stop being mean to her?
Wait
But yesterday she couldn't be bothered to address the "third party" ad from the NCGOP?
Now she's arguing against them?

I've got some advice for Jerry on this one......
and if he'd stop rolling around on the floor laughing he might be able to listen to my advice.
This is the saddest and funniest thing I've read in a long time.
Oh....the advice? Run as many ads as you/we can afford.

Dole Should Stop Trying to Change the Subject

This may be the one that has made me laugh out loud in 3 days.
Oh. My. Goddess.
I can't believe I'm going to type this.

Suuuuuure they've asked them to stay out.
I think it's more likely that Liddy's campaign has been told not to expect much from the national Republican groups. The Republicans have 22 seats to defend against some great Democratic recruits. The Dems only have 12 seats to hold on to. I'd say THAT is why Liddy is
beggingcalling for the DSCC to stay out of her race.As if.

It's more than likely
it is a certainty. Her race will not be targeted by the DSCC. She might get a little bit of help from groups here and there, but I think the National Republican groups see the writing on the wall. NC is going to be a bolder shade of blue.

I'd say that calls for a w00t!
