Live-blogging Friday morning
Submitted by James Protzman on Thu, 04/05/2007 - 3:57pm.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow morning for a lively discussion with Tim Toben, a good friend and one of North Carolina's most dedicated environmentalists. He'll be on no later than 8 am for sure, maybe earlier, and will stick around for a half hour.
If you're at all interested in green building, North Carolina energy policy, the Edwards' positions on energy and climate change, co-op gardens, conservation, and "acting locally," then this discussion is for you.
You can find out more about Tim, here, and you can include your questions below to get the ball rolling.

after posting the bee...
...diary, i started thinking about some kind of "arbor day" for bees.
would you be so kind as to ask if it might be practical to create a "set and forget" bee box that could be placed by the public and is not necessarily used for harvest; but is left alone in the hopes that it might self-propagate new colonies?
See you tomorrow
Looking forward to joining you all tomorrow. The world changed this week with the Supreme Court Decision to classify CO2 and ghgs as "pollutants" under the Clean Air Act.In combination with the 9-0 Ruling re: legacy coal plants, carbon emissions now have a price. The backdrop is in place for a cap-and-trade system for carbon, such as the one proposed by Senator Edwards. This was a major victory for anyone concerned about climate change. It undergirds the platform for Renewable and Efficiency Portfolio Standards at both the state and federal level. It is one of those rare moments in the past 6+ years that environmentalists can celebrate.
Welcome Tim
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's blog session. Thank you for agreeing to do it.
