MaxPAC for Ed Ridpath

Goal Thermometer
It is always interesting to review your opponent's campaign finance filing. As expected, my opponent, NC House Republican minority leader Paul "Skip" Stam, finally out fund raised my campaign.

Did he do it with grassroots support of hundreds of individual small donors (like I did)? Um, no. He has raised almost $40,000 from PAC's. And while mostly it is just $1,000 here or $2,000 there, of particular interest are the PAC's that kicked in the maximum allowed by law: $4,000. Like Nationwide, NC Home Builders, NC Realtors.

Well, I think we can fight back! I have setup an ActBlue fund raising page: MaxPAC for Ed Ridpath.

Please chip in $4, $40, or even $400 - let's show that we can match the Max PACs.

Thank you for your support!

Great work, Ed.

There are so many reason to take Stam out, but you just found the best one. He's funded by Realtors, Home Builders and Mortgage Companies - the greed machine that has nearly toppled the US economy.

It's just not right.

Email this to your entire list

which I'm sure you've already done. Bring your supporters here for a conversation about what it means to represent people instead of businesses.

Yep, It's in the mail

This is perhaps one of the best arguments for public financing - this kind of money can really distort our democracy.

Since When is Campbell Brown My Hero?

Trying to get a straight answer out of McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

BTW: I'm glad that Talking Points Memo posted this excerpt on Youtube, but since when does TiVo'ing something allow you to brand it with your logo? That's the Wild West...
