People who know Pat McCrory have told me that even though he's a hot-headed bully, he's not terribly stupid, and he has at least a few principles. Unfortunately, his performance this week destroys any hope for the latter.
Scrambling at a press conference to avoid being tarred by Paul Ryan's toxic budget brush, McCrory told reporters, “I’m going to support the Romney plan.”
The Romney plan? Are you kidding, Pat? There is no Romney plan. It flat out doesn't exist. But rest assured, whatever Romney comes up with, McCrory-the-sycophant is going to support it. Which tells us everything we need to know about the "principles" of Pat McCrory. They're the same as the "principles" of Mitt Romney: Say whatever you have to say to get elected, because you'll be able to change your mind as many times as you want for whatever reasons suit you.
Pat McCrory is a joke. And if he gets elected governor in North Carolina, the joke will be on us.
