McCrory's plan to bankrupt North Carolina's education system

Kudos to John Frank at the News and Observer for spotlighting the impact of Pat McCrory's scheme to help the rich get richer in North Carolina. McCrory's plan will take somewhere between $2 billion and $10 billion out of the North Carolina budget.

There's really only one place where that kind of chainsaw has room to cut: public education. So if you're one of those folks who likes the idea of firing more teachers and crowding more classrooms, then Pat McCrory is your man for sure.

Here's hoping we see more of this kind of reporting as early voting kicks in.
