In his Top of the Morning post:

The very idea that a political party dominated by neocons, warmongers, surveillance fetishists, and privacy-hating social conservatives will be a party of “limited government” is absurd on its face. There literally is no myth more transparent than the Republican Party’s claim to believe in restrained government power.

Nice!

I couldn't have said it better myself. But you know what saddens me? Its the fact that the average everyday Joe Blow still believes in this Talking Point! You can't Govern off of Talking Points.

Does anyone have a clue what Small Government Looks like? I do! Haiti, Somalia, Sudan. I could go on and on and on.

Small Government doesn't work. It leaves a Void that no private institution can filll or at its core doesn't have any interest in filling. They only want to Take advantage of the Lack of Government not truly replace it. They don't want that responsibility.

You will have Two things happen over night if we ever really had a Small Government. One the Military would Take over. Two we would be Totally taken over by Corporations then eaten alive by Corporate Voltures then the Nations Lifeless Carcass would be fought over by the Weak Politicians from both Parties and we would end up under UN Control and broken into 50 Small Nations. That is what would happen if we had Small Weak Government.

Senator Burr has sponsored numerous bills to decrease or extend temporary decreases on the duties of numerous chemicals.

Browse his bill sponsor history at www.thomas.gov for fun.

S2533 through S2541 are particularly specific.

S2663 sounds really fun!
