NC Republicans All Over The Map on Iraq
"I am persuaded by all available evidence that an escalation of U.S. troop levels is not the way forward in Iraq," - Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C.
"Some Americans and, perhaps some in this body, oppose the Iraqi operation because they dislike President Bush. I, however, do not march to that drum. I am personally very high on President Bush, but on the matter of troop escalation, I am not in agreement." - Rep. Howard Coble, R-N.C.
"Madam Speaker, where's your plan for victory in Iraq?" — Rep. Patrick McHenry R-N.C.
July 19, 2006:
“It’s like after Katrina, when the secretary of homeland security was saying all those people weren’t really stranded when we were all watching it on TV,” said Rep. Patrick T. McHenry (R-N.C.). “I still hear about that. We can’t look like we won’t face reality.”

I saw McHenry's Car at Charlotte Douglas this morning
That alone made me mad. I'd tell people where I saw it, but then I'd probably get arrested if it ends up with slashed tires ...
How
did you know it was his? Was there a 15 year old boy and some booze in the back seat?
Draft Brad Miller -- NC Sen ActBlue :::Petition
Boom snap
n/t
License Plate
All Congressmen/Senators have special tags. I doubt someone else would have the Congressman 10th District License plate and a McHenry Sticker.
Sam
We're going to have to get you some anti-Bush bumper stickers, so next time you can decorate the Congressman's car...
You think I don't have some dumb ones in my truck?
MoveOn people have given me so many of those over the years ....
Pat the Bunny
For those special occasions when only a non sequitur will do.
Anyhoo
It's astounding to me that the national press refuses to focus on the splintering of the "Republic" Party.
Pat and his meager ilk spew Bush talking points.
The rest scramble for a safe position to hide behind in '08.
Hardball mentioned it a number of times.
But, almost as quickly talked about how passe' Iraq was, that Iran would be the new Iraq.
Where are the candidates?
Love the Graphic
Of Rove walking his bitch.
Coble?
I think the most interesting comment comes from Coble. He's in the safest of safe districts and he came out against the pres. It's not like there's some netroots darling waiting in the wing to unseat him in 08.
Interesting from the man who wants to grant Congress the ability to overturn Supreme Court rulings. Who'da thought he'd be a cutter and runner.
Naaaah....the most interesting comes from
our own NC-08 whining wingnut, Robin Hayes.....
I mean....you gotta admit that saying we gotta WIN in Iraq so suicide bombers will say to themselves, "Damn. I can't blow myself up because America is sticking it out in Iraq and well....I don't want my death to be meaningless. I'll just keep on living and making these IEDs. I'll blow myself up after they leave in defeat."
