TGIF Open Thread - Video Edition
Just went over to the DSCC site, "A Third Bush Term". There I saw another slamming ad against Elizabeth Dole, but I also got to see what they are doing in other states. More videos after the break.
And, our favorite Liddy Dole.
What about the DCCC?
As for Obama, this is the last ad I find for him.
What has caught your eye?

"Liddy's gotta go. She's just gotta go."
I think they should take that line from the Minnesota ad and put it in a North Carolina ad.

When I first watched this

You obviously didn't watch this mashup version. ; ) It's humor.

I didn't
I watched the original interview, which was way scarier than the mash-up.
You were right about exposing her. Military people in North Carolina especially need to know.

In what respect,
In what respect, Charlie?
Translation: I have no idea what you're talking about, Charlie. But instead of being honest, I'm tap-dancing.

And she was so damn pissy about it.
It reminded me of college freshman I've taught who think they're grownups, so they get pissy when confronted with a question they should know but don't.

That is EXACTLY what I thought.
I know somebody caught some heat for describing Palin as a "Cocky Whacko<" but that's truly what she is.
Two new Obama ads out today...
"Real Change"
"Still"
I don't like the focus on McCain's computer illiteracy
The first spot is awesome.

"My hatred of the American Government...."
Let's face it, anyone who won't wear a lapel pin and is supported by a man who says he hates America shouldn't be elected to higher office.
And, Sarah Palin's official photo as Governor? NO LAPEL PIN!!!!

Hard to believe
Hard to believe the McSame vetting squad missed all this stuff. Maybe they were doing a heckova job instead of making sure that the next in line could actually govern.

Benefit of the Doubt
There was initially a controversy over whether she was vetted at all. Personally, Im gonna give McCain the benefit of the doubt and say that they knew everything she had ever done, even stuff that hasnt come out.
And yes, that line of thought is much scarier.

Remember Sorry Everybody dot com? (good post, zweirdad)
I think "heckuva job" (we'll have to tussle over whether it's spelled "heckova" or heckuva")is the phrase of the Bush era. Certainly the back-slapping, what-me-worry attitude it has come to represent is the perfect way to describe what the GOP has done for the United States over the past eight years.
I swear I told myself I wasn't going to be so danged invested in the next election, but I can't even bear to imagine the pain of failing in this one.
Some of you may remember that in the immediate aftermath of Bush's second "election," a couple of grad students at Berkeley hosted a website called "sorryeverybody.com." It was a pretty clever website that permitted people to express their grief through pictures submitted to the site. Some were sweet, some obscene, some clever, some just very, very, very sad. Entries came in from all over the danged globe. It was actually a comfort to read notes of commiseration and even well wishing from our friends in Europe and Asia and South America and Africa etc . . . .
The site received quite a lot of traffic, rated a spot on CNN (that annoying Jeanie Mose person) and honorable mentions on other popular culture media outlets.
Oh dear. I don't want to think in these terms quite yet. I really can't stand to think about the ultimate triumph of stupidity, ignorance and hatred that a McCain/Palin victory would represent.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing
-Edmund Burke
One more reason
the next four years will be like the last eight if McCain wins:
