Not soon enough

There's no need for laws and courts when you know what god's gonna do.

Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) suggested on Saturday that former Vice President Dick Cheney will have to answer in the afterlife for his role in taking the country to war with Iraq. "Congress will not hold anyone to blame," Jones said during a speech in Raleigh, N.C. "Lyndon Johnson's probably rotting in hell right now because of the Vietnam War, and he probably needs to move over for Dick Cheney."

Dear old Freedom Fries

He's always so late to the party.

Walter Jones was four square behind Bush and Cheney

Walter Jones was four square behind Bush and Cheney in getting us into the Iraq war.

Walter would very much like to change history. He is the one who coined "Freedom Fries" all because france would not join the US led coalition!!
Walter needs to go home to Farmville in 2014. Please. He is not representing teh better interest of North carolinians ...anywhere.

Never realized you made a mistake?

Looks to me that "manning up" to making a mistake would be a good quality to have in an elected official, or anybody for that matter. Especially if Walter is admitting that your side was right.

What is wrong with admitting you were wrong?

Maybe Walter "evolved."

Isn't it a good thing when your political opponent realizes you were right and openly admits it? I would be encouraging them all to come on over to my side. Welcome them with open arms, fry them some chicken and cleanse them of their sins. The hope of redemption should be inviolate.

You have a point..and I am all for redemption

It is just that I am not sure, based on the rest of Walter's voting that he has changed one bit reagarding governance.

The Violence Against Women Act was passed (renewed) yesterday. Walter voted no.

Equal Pay Act was passed during the President's first term. Walter Voted against that.

Walters conscience did not bother him until the body bags started coming home.

Walter voted against raising the debt ceiling (That is a sure sign that he actually does not understand what the impact of that would be, or he does understand and wants to bring the USA to its knees).

If he is a changed man on the Iraq issue (Post War), very well, but my biggest issue with Walter is that I feel he is unstable and getting worse. He should resign for the good of North Carolina.

Cheney will never go to hell

Because Teddy Kennedy works on the gate. Teddy never liked Cheney so I doubt he would let him in.

Cheney will never go to hell

because they can just keep plugging him in. You can't really die if you don't have a heart that will stop. Can you?
