Obama hits 'Nothin' but net' - while McBush remains a prisoner of war
Not only has Barack Obama passed the 'Commander in Chief' test - he is now teaching the course, and World Leaders are applauding the syllabus!
Obama hits 'Nothin' but net' - while McBush remains a prisoner of war ..........
Senator Barack Obama is currently on his first International tour, with major stops in Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, the West Bank and then rounding out the tour in Europe with Germany, France and our strongest ally; Great Britain. The excitement in Europe for an American Politician, has not been this high since the optimistic days of John F. Kennedy.
To date, each visit has been met with huge success - none of the demonstrations kicked up by GW Bush or John McBush when they head overseas. Clearly World opinion of Obama is high; very high indeed, and gives us Hope that we can mitigate some of the disastrous failed Foreign Policies of the Con Swerve & Twists - and begin to restore America abroad.
In the concerted effort to 'dumb down' the American electorate, Con Swerve & Twists (CSaT's) have been carping the fallacy of Obama's lack of Foreign Policy experience, and his supposed idealism in the face of 'dangerous' world. Clearly the dangerous world screed is one of the GOP's manufacture, and they are indeed making the world a more dangerous place to enhance their own agenda - and certainly not enhancing world peace and stability. Nothing creates danger, more than world instability and its resulting endless, needless wars.
An Emerging World View.
Newsweek International Editor Fareed Zakaria writes;..... that in the realm of foreign policy, Barack Obama has been made out to be a softheaded idealist. John McCain and his campaign, conservative columnists and right-wing bloggers all paint a picture of a liberal dreamer who wishes away the world's dangers. Zakaria disagrees. "Over the course of the campaign ... Obama has elaborated more and more the ideas that would undergird his foreign policy as president," he writes. "What emerges is a world view that is far from that of a typical liberal, much closer to that of a traditional realist. It is interesting to note that, at least in terms of the historical schools of foreign policy, Obama seems to be the cool conservative and McCain the exuberant idealist."
Zakaria adds that McCain is a pessimist about the world, "seeing it as a dark, dangerous place where, without the constant and vigorous application of American force, evil will triumph." To Obama "countries like Iran and North Korea are holdouts against the tide of history. America's job is to push these progressive forces forward, using soft power more than hard, and to try to get the world's major powers to solve the world's major problems."
Senator Obama has consistently spoken out on the need to end the War in Iraq, he has consistently and unequivocally spoken on the need to withdraw from Iraq 'As cautious in withdrawal, as we where careless in getting in.'
He has consistently and unequivocally said that Iraq was and remains a distraction from the 'real' war on terror in Afghanistan (and the lawless tribal areas of Pakistan) and that is where we need to fight and where we need to win. Going after Osama Bin Laden will be the needed CHANGE our Nation and the World needs our Military to fight - certainly not in an Iraqi mirage!
Both of the leaders of these countries - Hamid Kharzi, and Nouri al-Maliki have been impressed with Obama's strategy for the future, with al-Maliki all but giving him his full endorsement.
When asked in and interview with SPIEGEL when he thinks US troops should leave Iraq, Maliki responded "as soon as possible, as far as we are concerned."
He then continued: "US presidential candidate Barack Obama talks about 16 months. That, we think, would be the right timeframe for a withdrawal, with the possibility of slight changes."
Now with this revelation - from the Democratically elected leader of Iraq -putting the John McBush thousand year strategy in jeopardy; the Con Swerve & Twist put their washing machine on full spin cycle, urging an immediate 'clarification' from al-Maliki - which we assume came very reluctantly.
This is a nightmare scenario for the McBush campaign - having Obama not only showing his Commander in Chief credentials, but having the Maliki government agreeing with him him on a 'Cautious withdrawal.'
Given that is it pretty obvious that we must exit Iraq, to fight the real enemies of Peace and Stability in Afghanistan, even the the 'Dumbya' Bush Administration was caught mentioning the new term 'Time Horizon' for the 'Event Horizon' they have to date been propelling us toward in Iraq - So much for the 'cut and run,' 'surrender monkey' Obama, who by his very 'presumed' nomination for his party, is having the kind of results and accolades that have so far eluded McBush. We can only appreciate what other achievements Obama may make once he gleams 'Leader of the Free' world status.
The fact is John McBush IS a prisoner of war. He will fight a war for a 'thousand years;' a war that 'should never of been authorized, and never should have been fought. McBush's war mindset is clear, and he will not be freed from that purpose! Meanwhile world leaders are applauding Barack Obama's understanding, focus, and approach to both Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Obama has already gleamed the Diplomat in Chief credential, and now he is earning 'Commander in Chief' honors also. In fact, he is teaching the position to those who should never have been allowed it, and to one that would have you believe he already has it - because he was, and is still, a prisoner of war.

Huzzah for Obama, Fie on CNN
I just saw an email with CNN anchors commenting on Obama's travels. They keep say "If he makes a mistake..." like they WANT him to make a mistake.
Personally, we have no cable because of storm damage this week, and I am so glad I don't have to listen to that drivel.
Well said
Couldn't agree more. Almost makes me proud to be an American again ... but I think I'll wait until the voting is over, just to be on the safe side.
