This blog has been all over the OLF story. However, the N&O front page told about the lack of concern for the citizenry by Burr and Dole.

How about the local dems? Is the grassroots going to fight for the people downeast?

in Wilmington. We also had our OneCorp meeting Saturday and the members in attendance agreed to call McIntyre's office in Washington. I spoke with the 7th Dist Dem Chairman and he wasn't really all that aware of the deal...but enthused now about a Party Resolution...which Anglico is helping me with.

But in any case, Dole and Burr could give a damn what citizens think about this issue.

Burr's idiocy in particular about it not being Congress's job to decide where bases will be? That will be a big fat nail in his political coffin in four years. I really thought he was smarter than that.
