Open thread: Grier Martin Warm-up Edition

As I mentioned on Monday, we'll have the privilege of live-blogging with Grier Martin tomorrow morning (Friday) starting around 8 or 8:30. We can talk about anything you want - but hopefully we'll spend some time on the Renewable Portfolio Standards and veterans affairs here in North Carolina.
There are a bunch of questions over on the original announcement thread, and I'll plan to drag some of them over here to keep the ball rolling. Hope you can join us.

At our precinct meeting tonight
we unanimously approved a resolution in support of Verla's bill . . . on to the county convention.
PS I think I better get a little more informed before I have to actually face doctors and other health care providers with answers . . .
Oh, and I've figured out that my Rep, Walt Church, hasn't answered my personal email probably because, according to my many sources, "he doesn't own a computer." I think he might be one of those that Jim Harrell III was talking about. (You know, in Raleigh when he said that some legislators' in-boxes get filled up because they never knew they had an email address to begin with . . .)
