Oh, Man -
Like I don't have enough ...
Okay. I'll click it.
Later. After.
After breakfast has digested. Is this gonna make me hurl?
Not hurl.
This is more of your oh-shit-what-have-we-done kind of worry.
That's a stinging commentary
right there, man.
Oh, Lord -
This is so not good.
When bees become ill, they usually die in the hive. They don't disappear completely.
I saw honeybees foraging off my back deck this winter. It was about a week before 'the big chill' (formerly known as 'Winter')that lasted several weeks. I was worried about the little guys because they don't watch the news. They're back - but for how long?
I'm ready
for the right wing spin of this potential ecological crisis. I can hear it now ... "We don't know why so many bees are disappearing, but we suspect they've simply run away to the cities, become street prostitutes and homeless saccharine addicts ... it's because they took prayer and hive family values out of the schools ... no, wait, it's Al Gore's fault ..."

Or even better, the bee holocaust deniers...
well, the bees have free will and all, and well, golly, I don't know where they all went, but shucks, they must be here somewhere!
Dobson?
Maybe the followed the penguins to Dobson.
No, James Dobson
The bees drank too much soy milk and left their wives and children for a life of gay sex and crystal meth.
Those are some fucked up bees.
Robin Hayes lied. Nobody died, but thousands of folks lost their jobs.
Mark Binker
has a neat little piece on his blog (with audio) about the NC Party of Greed whining cause they don't get no respect.
Maybe it would be good if they spent more time having ideas in the first place instead of worrying about "communicating" them. And frankly, who gives a hoot what their "opinions" are. That's one of the big problems with the Party of Greed - they confuse opinions with ideas. They're not actually for anything, they're only against things, and their "opinions" are grounded in nothing more substantial than free market fantasies.
I sure hope the Capital Press Corpse doesn't get in the habit of covering their weekly pity parties.
BlueNC Women on Wednesday
is up at DailyKos.

funny piece
for anyone who has ever spent an hour plus writing a diary, only to watch it die on kos within 5 minutes, the top of the recc list has some great satire on the subject. Amusing stuff.

Grier, Are We Losing Afghanistan?
The insurgents now control at least twenty districts in the Kandahar, Helmand, Uruzgan provinces where NATO troops have replaced US soldiers. And it is hardly a secret that many officials in these zones are closet supporters of the guerrilla fighters. The situation is out of control.
It really is a shame
we had to abandon the mission and leave a skeleton force in Afghanistan, so we could get all those WMDs in Iraq.
